“Bandana Bash” Leukemia Fund Raiser
In keeping with Todd Zick’s wishes
Friday September 10th & Saturday
September 11th

Before Todd Zick left this world last February after a long battle with
Leukemia, he expressed to his family and friends that he would want the
Annual Leukemia fund raising event, held at Zick’s Great Outdoors, to
continue. Friends and Family continue honoring that wish. Proceeds from
the event support Todd’s Leukemia 24/7 and the Friends of Kids with
Cancer organizations.

Leukemia 24/7 supporters have raised over $30,000 for local cancer
charities which include: Friends of Kids with Cancer, Missouri Baptist
Hospital Cancer Research, Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation and
DKMS Americas. An additional $20,000 was recently donated to
Washington University School of Medicine, BJC Missouri Baptist Oncology
Department and Friends of Kids with Cancer.

This year, for what has become known as the Bandana Bash, there will be
BBQ, Music, Auctions & Bingo for all to enjoy. Friday Evening will start with
TTIF (Thank Todd It’s Friday) with music from the band Cheerful Robots
from 5 to 8 PM and BBQ’d Brats, Burgers & Hot Dogs. The suggested
donation for Friday is $20 per person. Bringing a cooler is okay. Then there
will be Bingo under the big tent from 8 – 11 PM. A silent auction will be
taking place as well.

Get up Saturday Morning and come to a pancake breakfast from 8 – 11 AM.
Good food and folks, with a chance to contribute to supporting the fight
against Leukemia & Cancer.

Saturday Evening there will be a Pig Roast BBQ served from 4–9 PM,
Live Auctions, Raffles, Live Music from 4–7 PM and 8–11 PM by the group
"Non-Stop," & Silent Auctions. The suggested donation for Saturday
evening is $30 - $50 per person / $50 - $100 per family.

During the week from Wednesday the 8th thru Saturday’s festivities there
will a staff available in partnership with DKMS Americas for you to cotton
swab your inside cheek for Bone Marrow testing. Please consider doing so
if you haven’t. So far Leukemia 24/7 has added 5,000 potential donors to
the registry, with over 100 positive matches.
